Mckinsey Requesting for Update on information

Hello everyone,

I received this email from Mckinsey after the Solve assessment. It looks like a generic email but I want to know if this means I am getting the first round of interviews . Below is the email;

Thank you again for your interest in McKinsey & Company. In preparation for the next stage of your recruiting process, we would like to verify your legal first name, legal last name, and request your full mailing address to ensure that any correspondence we may need to send you is delivered correctly.

As you continue with the process, we would also like to share some information about our Firm-wide policies so you can adequately prepare should you receive an offer to join McKinsey.

Hi there,

Strange. It sounds like they are prepping for the next stage but, usually, if you pass the Solve game, the email is more direct, welcoming, and comes with more information.

I'd answer directly and ask them about your status in the process.

Fingers crossed,

Florian

Hey!
This email from McKinsey is a positive sign and suggests you’re progressing in the recruitment process, though it doesn’t guarantee an interview yet. Typically, McKinsey collects this information as part of moving candidates into the interview stage, so it’s likely that you’re being considered for the first round. Be sure to respond promptly with the requested details, as it indicates your engagement and readiness. Good luck! Alessa

Hey there,

My general advice on recruiting queries, is that you should always clarify these types of things with the recruiters. It definitely indicates a positive trajectory - as it is not a standard rejection but rather indicating that you'll be moving through the process

All the best
