BCG Visiting Associate

Question

hello all! new to the consulting world & hoping someone can elucidate this matter for me. was on the handshake job portal of my school (completing a masters, not an mba) and came across this job. can someone brief me as to what they're looking for with a role like this? my resume/cv is two pages is long - is this acceptable? & what are they looking for in length of professional experience (I have about 5)? i'm from a non target school so i know it's a long shot but want to throw my hat in the ringer anyways. any advice is appreciated.

First of all, this is an internship, and as with all major consulting firms, your anticipated performance will be thoroughly tested in the interview process. In general, they look for strong analytical, problem-solving and teamwork skills. Extensive work experience is certainly not required.
Moreover, a one-page resume is typically required in the US, which is what you indicated as your location. As the most experienced coach, I would be more than happy to help you perfect it.

Hi there,

Send me a DM and I can forward you a guide on the right consulting resume that would be needed to apply for such roles as the BCG VA you mentioned.

Generally, its an internship position. You will work as a full member of the team and are treated like a full-time consultant on their first project.
