Which US Consulting firms sponsor international applicants?

Hi! I'm an international applicant studying undergrad in the US and am currently applying for my third-year summer consulting internships. I've heard from others that the only firms that sponsor international students is MBB, EY (strategy), and PWC. I understand that Deloitte and Accenture no longer sponsors. Are there any other firms that sponsor as of now? Thank you!

Hi there,

In the current market, it's very rare, also for the ones you have mentioned.

Even for current expat MBAs, the key message from recruiters is to mainly apply to international offices.

Cheers,

Florian

Hi Anonymous,

From my experience, International applicants won't be a problem for most firms so long as you have OPT from doing your degree in the US. Speak to your school's immigration office about this.

I believe the "sponsoring" you're referring to is for H1B visa applications after your OPT runs out. For that, you're right, some firms won't. MBB will from my experience.

As I say, speak to your school and ask to speak to the Immigration teams at firms you're applying to confirm.

Best of luck!

Martha

Hi,

Roland Berger has historically also sponsored visas in the US.

Hi there,

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:

  • Unfortunately, in the current tight consulting market in the US, it seems to be quite rare for any of the major consulting firms to sponsor a visa.

You can find more on this topic here: Salaries in the consulting industry.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on your specific situation, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen
