It's been 6 weeks since I submitted my application and cv, but I haven't got any email from McKinsey. Will they inform me regardless if I pass cv screening or get rejected? How to follow up or contact them?

Normally, they would send you an email to say if you've progressed or not, but sometimes there's so many that it can be tough to get to everyone.
I would 100% reach out to the recruiting team!
If you do not have their email, I would actually just look for the recruiting team on Linkedin and send them a message. If you don't have premium, you can send one if you aren't connected to them - the short message is part of the invite.

After a promising start to the year most firms are now re-evaluating hiring targets or even pushing offers back (thanks to increasing uncertainty on business development). For some who are already in the interview process, the second round is moved back by 1-2 months.
This could be why your process is delayed. I would definitely reach out and ask them for a concrete estimate of when you can expect to hear back from them...

Yes they will inform you about the result of your application, being positive or not. I understand how hard it is to wait (been there too), but nowadays 6 weeks are actually within the regular timeframe range. However, feel free to reach out to them per email/phone/LinkedIn. If you don’t have their contact, search for “recruiter” + “McKinsey” + your location in LinkedIn.

There should be email contacts from the emails you would have received from McKinsey, otherwise you could check from their website. Additionally you could try call local office and try get connected to the recruiting team (this one may be hit and miss with regards to them being working in the office on that day and available at their desk at the times you call etc.).
That said, you will be notified of the results from your application in due course regardless of the outcome. With current trends, it is not uncommon for results for screening to take as long as you have experienced and even longer
