Application Under Review | BCG Associate Experienced Hire - USA

Hi there,

As the title says, I applied to the following role at BCG:
Associate, Experienced Hire - USA

I applied on the 31st of January. About a week after submitting the application, the portal said my application is under review. We are now nearing the end of February and the application status remains the same.

I know this is a non-cyclical role and hence may be a little irregular in its acquisition of talent, but does this time delay mean they are not hiring at the moment or that they aren't interested in my application?

I would love your advice and guidance.

Hi there,

The timeline is pretty common, wouldn't be overly stressed about it. If they are not hiring they would take down the job post usually. If they've reached a conclusion you should've received either a turndown or next steps communication. Typically the initial screening time can take anywhere between weeks to months, and the status in the system can be confusing/not indicative of what's really going on. Would just be patient to wait, keep applying for other firms to get the momentum going, and meanwhile get ready so when interviews are scheduled you are also well-prepared :)

Once an HR reaches out, that's when you are able to follow up if further delays occurs in the interview process.
