Should I follow up?

Hello everyone!

I was interviewed for a Trainee position the 14 January and I had one interview directly with the manager and his assistant. No more steps are involved here. I think the interview went pretty good but you never know. The applications for trainee potisions were open from the 2 January to the 26 January and I haven't heard anything since then. I know that they are under a lot of work so I'm waiting but now I'm very nervous and impatient. Should I follow up? Can I benefit from that in case they are undecided about me?

Generally I would wait a minimum of ~2 weeks before following up. In the corporate context, I think it's fine to follow-up politely at this time now.

In the email you can ask when you could expect to hear the decision - this way if they respond, they can either reply directly with it or at least get back with an expected timeline.
