Non Target MBA

Hello to All,

I have earned my MBA from a Tier 2 Business School in Spain and Currently looking for Consulting Career in India. Is it possible to get into Top consultancies without much Network in India as I do have Network only abroad and also consider I have only 4 months Internship Experience as Enginering trainee.

What are my chances to get into Consulting Career?

Thank you all

I’d say it depends on your grades and the employer’s reputation you had your internship at. Generally spoken, I reckon that 1 internship might make the process a little difficult… However, if the overall picture is alright, you should give it a try ;) good luck with that.

Ex-MBB, Experienced Hire; I will teach you not only the how, but also the why of case interviews

What company are you targeting? Getting into MBB with your background might be extremely hard. Best bet right now might be to either (1) lower your expectations and target some 2nd tier consultancies before trying MBB later on again (and you can get fantastic careers in these 2nd tier or boutique firms btw), or (2) get lucky and work on a project with MBB, impress them, and convince the partner or AP / Principal to sponsor your application.

Again, MBB isn't the only way to have a fulfilling consulting career - and even your post-consulting career won't be dramatically different whether you worked at McK, Bain, BCG or a 2nd tier consultancy.

Good luck
