Hello community,
I've recently completed one of the non-consulting role interviews (1st round's) with McK.
Just curious - do HR/interviewers normally call interviewees to notify them regarding the outcomes with feedback for non-consulting roles (e.g. data analyst/insights analyst), especially when interviewers are from different timezones? Does HR call to notify the outcome in this case, and normally within how long?
Thanks!
McKinsey - post-1st round Response Time

Hi,
Congratulations on finishing your round one interview! One of your interviewers will be tasked to call you with results. It’s typically within couple of days.
But don’t worry if you missed the call, just call back, or text to schedule time. It happened to me couple of times when candidates missed the result calls, we can always figure something out :)
Cheers,
Han

Hi!
Congrats on getting an interview in the first place!
For context for my McK interviews, I was in the UK and my first two interviews with a lady based in the US, a man from Germany and the second two were in South Africa.
Normally the interviewers themselves call interviewees to notify them of the outcomes for all roles regardless of timezones. They call themselves so that they can offer feedback and why you got it/ didn't get it. If they cannot, HR will.
Usually, the call will be on the day or within a couple of days.
If you find the length of time is unusually long, you can always reach out to the HR person you were in contact with.
Good luck!!

Hi there,
you should get a call from the interviewer. Can take a few days in case, especially for non-consulting roles where it is more slot based and they might not have been able to see all candidates in one day.
Best,
Sebastian

Hi there!
Congratulations on the first interview!
Yes, they will call you. That can take from some days up to 2 weeks, depending on the specifics of the office.
If one week passes and you hear nothing from them, feel free to reach out to HR.
Good luck!
Best,
Mari

Hi there,
You should hear back within 2 weeks, either through a direct call or through an email.
Fingers crossed!
Cheers,
Florian
