Hi,
I recently applied to McKinsey but didn’t make through. I have received a link to McKinsey Keep in Touch program. Is anyone familiar with the program? Any idea what it will entail?
Thanks

Hi there,
I am sorry to hear you didn't make but being invited to the keep in touch program is actually good news! This means McKinsey thinks you have potential and you can try again after the ban period.
Ask your recruiting contact for specific feedback on how you can be better prepared for the next time.
Best,
Alberto

Hi there, sorry to hear this time did not work out for you. It must have been a close call, else you wouldn't have been invited to keep in touch. The program is designed for candidates that fit the hiring criteria but may benefit from some more experience (e.g., do more internships, a masters degree etc.). So be proud of yourself! The program entails periodic updates, invites to special events, and should you apply again you are marked as coming from this program and hence, serves like a referral. Warm regards, Frederic
Hi there,
This is essentially the best rejection you can get. It means they like you, but not enough for this year (i.e. not enough slots, or they need you to develop further).
Make sure to spend the next year really strengthening your profile!
Next time around get your resume professionally reviewed by a coach and figure out an optimal networking strategy (a coach can also help here).
In the meantime, keep applying to other firms - plenty of great opportunities out there!

Hi there!
The program enables them to keep in touch with you and inform you of other training programs coming up which could help improve your performance. Basically, they think you have potential but you're just not there yet.
Feel free to also ask the recruiter for more info about it. This way you can show that you're interested and keen on learning more.
Best,
Cristian
