McKinsey final round decision

Q: I am under the impression that they will prioritize calling the candidates to who they plan to extend offers, so I assume I did not make it?

The truth is, no one knows. There could be several reasons why they are delaying the call even in case of an offer. For example:

1. Partners got busy and cannot align
2. HR got busy and did not manage to call

Today is just one day after the deadline, so I am pretty sure they will follow up soon.

No one actually knows the answer. As a general rule it is true that the ones with offers get called first and those without are told after that but when this happens is not always the same as it all depends on the schedule of the hiring committee and of HR.

So far, nothing has been decided and it's quite common these days to hear back from them due to alignment issues.

Pretty normal for them to take longer than they say they will!

Sit tight, they are most likely just busy. I would only reach out after a week.

No answer just means that. No answer. No decision yet. Sometimes they are very busy and aren't able to call everyone on the same day. Relax and don't sweat it!
