Looking for someone to guide me through my career in consulting

I am currently working as a data consultant at Artefact but remotely. I believe I am working some consulting concierge work. Didn't learn anything up until now and can't see myself becoming anywhere near a partner doing what I do. The work is extremely convenient(I work from home) and the company culture is second to none. Very friendly people and my manager is a great guy. However, my colleagues who work in the middle east(I work from Lebanon) are paid 3 or 4x what I earn. I am seriously considering submitting applications to other major consulting companies in the middle east, but this time I am looking for someone experienced in this field and knows the ins and outs and what it takes to more or less guarantee an interview, willing to pay but nothing ridiculous. Any help is truly appreciated. Also, the hiring season is very soon, in 20-25 days, so I don't know if I am late or not.

Hey there 😊,

It sounds like you’re at a career crossroads, and I completely get why you’re considering moving to a bigger consulting firm in the Middle East. You have strong data consulting experience, but if you’re not learning or growing towards a leadership path, it makes sense to explore better opportunities—especially given the huge pay gap between Lebanon-based roles and Middle East offices.

1ïžâƒŁ Are You Too Late for the Hiring Season?

  • You still have time, but the hiring cycle is coming up fast (20-25 days is tight), so you need to act now.
  • Many firms in the Middle East (MBB, OW, RB, Kearney, Strategy&) hire on a rolling basis, meaning applications fill up quickly.
  • If you prepare efficiently and apply strategically, you can still secure interviews—but you’ll need to move fast.

2ïžâƒŁ How to Maximize Your Chances for MBB/Tier 2 in the Middle East?

✅ Refine Your CV & Application Strategy – Your profile needs to highlight consulting-relevant skills, impact, and leadership potential (not just technical work).
✅ Get Referrals ASAP – In the Middle East, referrals can significantly increase your chances of landing an interview.
✅ Prepare for Case & Fit Interviews NOW – You have just a few weeks, so focus on structuring cases, market sizing, and behavioral answers.
✅ Target the Right Firms – If MBB is a stretch, Tier 2 (OW, RB, Kearney, Strategy&, EY-P) could be a great fit.

3ïžâƒŁ Career Coaching & Application Strategy

Since you’re looking for someone to guide you through the process, I also offer application strategy & career coaching for consulting. I can help with:
💡 Structuring your application to align with what Middle East consulting firms look for
💡 Optimizing your CV & cover letter for MBB/Tier 2 recruitment
💡 Building a networking strategy to get referrals in the next few weeks
💡 Case & behavioral interview prep to ensure you’re fully ready when interviews start

Since time is limited, getting strategic support now can help you maximize your chances before applications close. If you’re interested, let me know, and I’d be happy to guide you through this transition.

Let’s get you to the right consulting firm where you can grow, earn what you deserve, and build a long-term career! 🚀

Best, Alessa 😇

Hi there,

Best way to approach this is to filter for coaches based on your budget, then read through their profiles, success rates, reviews/testimonials (focus on offers and text reviews), then contact a few of them to set up a free intro call.

Prepare a couple of questions to screen them and decide who to go with.

Cheers,

Florian
