Hi there,

Extremely unprofessional!

Sorry to hear.

If you have other options available, I'd just drop out of the process. If your interviewing/recruiting experience is already this bad, imagine how the work would be in that particular office.

1-2 times would be okay - still unprofessional BUT 13 times???

In any case, I'd contact HR and tell them about the frustrating and unprofessional experience as a first step.

All the best,

Florian

Hi there,

First of all, I am sorry to hear about your negative experience!

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your situation:

  • First of all, I would highly advise you to communicate directly with the recruiting team about the impact of the repeated rescheduling on your availability and performance.
  • Moreover, you might want to consider if this reflects the firm's overall culture and if it aligns with your professional expectations. One or two reschedulings might be considered acceptable, but 13 reschedulings are definitely something else.

You can find more on this topic here: How to succeed in the final interview round.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on your specific situation, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

I’m sorry to hear you’re going through this. It sounds incredibly frustrating and exhausting, especially after putting in so much effort. Here are some steps you can consider:

1. Communicate Openly: Reach out to your contact at the firm (e.g., recruiter or hiring manager) and express your concerns about the frequent rescheduling.

2. Set Boundaries and prioritize your mental health: If possible, suggest a specific timeframe that works for you for the next interview. This can help manage expectations and reduce the likelihood of last-minute changes.

It’s understandable to feel stressed given the situation, and it’s important to acknowledge that this is affecting your well-being and performance. When an interview is rescheduled, take the time to confirm it but also consider stepping back for a few days. Choose a timeframe that allows you to unwind and regain your focus before the next interview. Taking this time for yourself is crucial, and it can help you approach the next steps with renewed energy and clarity.

6. Stay Positive: Remind yourself of the positive feedback you’ve received in previous interviews. Focus on what you can control and maintain your confidence in your abilities.

Ultimately, prioritize your mental health and well-being throughout this process. Good luck!

Hello there,

This is quite unfortunate and definitely far from the norm.

I’d suggest you reach out to HR over a call and flag your concerns. But from the context given, the odds that things would change now are quite low so you should also:

  1. Introspect on whether you really want to work at a firm/office with such behaviour
  2. Seek other alternatives that would help you maintain a strong mental state if you want to stick with the process

All the best,

Fathu
