How Is It Working @ McKinsey’s Product Development & Procurement Service Line

May anyone share any insight about the subject group? I've got an upcoming interview with them for an associate role and would liken to learn a bit more than what's shown on the website if possible.

Hey!

From my experience it mainly involves supporting clients with strategies to enhance product innovation, optimize sourcing, and streamline end-to-end procurement processes. Projects often focus on cost efficiency, supplier management, and product lifecycle improvements, aiming to increase value and reduce time-to-market. PDP teams work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, and supply chain, providing a mix of analytical and strategic support. The role typically requires a balance of technical expertise and strategic thinking, as well as collaboration with industry experts and tech specialists.

Best, Alessa

Do you know if the case interviews they give to prospects are specifically geared to the type of work they'd be doing? So procurement, supply chain, ops, etc.
