Calculation question - data sources

On the calculation of profits for model 2 (try on shop + online), where do the €50/month/m²  and 500 m²/store come from? on the exhibit, I see 5 euros/m2 and 3000 m2.

Hi Jorge!

I think there is indeed an error in the case resolution. According to my calculations considering the data provided, the rent cost for model two should be 180k ( 5 * 3000 * 12).

Maybe send a message to the coach who has created the case to ensure if that is the case.

Best,

Mari

Good catch! It’s always important to clarify data sources, especially when calculations don’t seem to match the provided figures. Double-checking whether the €50/month/m² and 500 m²/store were assumptions or if they came from a different part of the analysis might help. If the exhibit shows €5/m² and 3000 m², it’s worth confirming whether the numbers were adjusted for a specific scenario or model variation.

Hey there,

Yes, this does appear to be an error with the math solution.

It was asked and identified in a previous Q+A thread. Additionally, I addressed this here

Hi, I am confused about what exactly is the formula for ROI. Is it (Profit-Cost)/Cost (see picture 1) or Profit/Cost (see picture 2)? Both cases are from Darden and googling online both equations show up. Thank you a lot!
