Recently started an interview process with BCG, waiting for my first interview to be scheduled as I was told by the recruiter. In the meantime, I found that the job ad was removed. Does this mean the process will not be continued or if it will be continued, l will anyway face rejection as the position is already filled?
BCG job ad removed
Hi there,
First of all, congratulations on the invitation from BCG!
I would be happy to share my thoughts on your situation:
- The removal of a job ad does not necessarily indicate that the recruiting process has been stopped. It most likely just means that BCG has received sufficient applications and is now beginning the interview phase.
You can find more on this topic here: How to succeed in the final interview round.
If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming BCG interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Hey!
The removal of a job ad doesn't necessarily mean that the process has ended or that you will be rejected. Often, firms take down job ads once they have enough candidates in the pipeline or the role has moved into later stages. Since you're already in touch with the recruiter and waiting for your interview, your process should continue as planned. It’s a good idea to follow up with the recruiter for clarity, but the removal of the ad doesn’t automatically mean the position is filled. Stay positive and focused on your preparation!
Good Luck! Alessa :)
Hi there,
it can also mean that their envisioned application deadline has been reached and they don't want to add more candidates to the process before they haven't evaluated the already existing pipeline of applicants for that position.
Fingers crossed
Hi there,
If you have already started the process, it should be fine. It just means that the funnel is closed for now for new applicants.
All the best,
Florian
Hello there,
No need to sweat it. They’ve simply closed access to new applicants which means they believe they already have an applicant pool strong enough to fill the position(s).
All the best,
