Application delay

I applied to Accenture KSA 2 weeks ago and Roland Berger KSA 3 weeks ago and still haven’t heard from both of them. Is that normal?

Hi there,

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:

  • First of all, yes, especially with the Middle East offices, it seems to be rather common at the moment to have longer lead times. While I understand that knowing whether this is normal might be important to you, the crucial aspect to consider is how best to manage the situation.
  • Moreover, I would advise you to follow up with an email or better still a phone call early in the new year when the office is open again. But rest assured that you will get a response.

You can find more on this topic here: How to succeed in the final interview round.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Hey there,

The timelines you're experiencing are not uncommon, more especially for this time of the year. From the times you applied, many teams would have been winding down

At the turn of the year, maybe second week of January, your applications would be about 6 and 7 weeks old, and I'd follow up with recruiting to find out what the status of your application is if you'd not have received any feedback by then.

All the best

Hi There,

Yes, it is completely normal if you haven't heard back since your application date 3 weeks ago, as it is currently the end of year and a lot of the HR and recruiting team are on vacation,

Expect a response in early to mid January at the earliest and best of luck with your application,

Best,
Fady

At the end of year, things are even slower than normal. So I would think that you will hear back by mid January.

Best of luck

Hi there,

Unfortunately yes. Most consulting firms in the Middle East had quiet layoffs over the last year and hiring is very slow and rather for specific positions instead of broad general entry-level positions.

Fingers crossed,

Florian
