Hey all,
I finished the Deloitte final round recently - afterward I was invited to talk to a partner/principal for 15 minutes over Zoom. What should I expect and how should I prepare? Thank you so much in advance for any advice.

Congratulations on making it to the final round of the Deloitte interview process! The invitation to speak with a partner/principal for 15 minutes over Zoom is a positive sign and an opportunity for you to further showcase your fit with the firm.
During this conversation, you can expect the partner/principal to assess your cultural fit, leadership potential, and overall alignment with Deloitte's values. They may ask you questions about your motivations for joining the firm, your career aspirations, and your ability to work effectively in a team.
To prepare for this conversation, I recommend the following:
Research Deloitte: Familiarize yourself with the firm's values, culture, and recent projects. This will help you demonstrate your genuine interest in Deloitte and your understanding of their work.
Reflect on your experiences: Think about your past experiences and how they align with Deloitte's core competencies. Be prepared to discuss specific examples that highlight your leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Practice your elevator pitch: Be ready to articulate why you are interested in Deloitte and how your background and skills make you a strong fit for the firm. Keep your response concise and compelling.
Prepare questions: Show your interest and engagement by preparing thoughtful questions about Deloitte's work, culture, and opportunities for professional development. This will demonstrate your proactive approach and genuine curiosity.
Remember to be confident, authentic, and enthusiastic during the conversation. The partner/principal is looking for someone who can contribute to the firm's success and be a valuable team member. Good luck with your conversation, and I hope you secure a successful outcome!
Hey,
Probably a short fit interview in order for the partner to get to know you better and determine your general eligibility for the company / team.
Ideally, if a candidate has three types of FIT stories at their disposal:
1. Mini FIT: a short overview or a sales pitch of your achievements (20-30 seconds per story);
2. Standard PEI - around 2 minutes per story;
3. Expanded FIT - a 4-5 mines per story for a deep dive into your experiences with the exact names, reasoning, thoughts, as described above.
Good luck!
Nick
Hi there,
Q: I was invited to talk to a partner/principal for 15 minutes over Zoom. What should I expect and how should I prepare?
Given this is after the final I would expect one of the following options:
I would not expect an additional case if they scheduled 15 minutes only and did not mention any further details but you might want to ask for confirmation from HR just in case.
Good luck!
Francesco
Hi there,
This is generally a good sign. Either they want to do a final vetting of you or they want to make/give you the offer. (Very small chance they reject and say they want you to apply next year, or want you in a different role).
All in all, it's good news!
Basically, prepare for the above scenario! Be ready to talk to your interest in the firm, your fit for the role, any questions you have of them etc. Always be prepared for salary/role/start date expectations discussion as well.
Good luck!
Hi there,
Best way to know that is to ask them! It is completely ok to ask HR for clarifications on what you should expect from this meeting and how you should prepare for it. Don't be scared to ask!
Anyway, it is very unlikely that they will give you a case considering the short timeslot. If you will not be able to get the information from them, just review you FIT preparation!
Best of luck!
Francesca
Hi there,
I suggest you ask your HR contact to be better prepared for the meeting.
Considering Deloitte, my bet is that the partner would potentially work with you and he wants to know you before the final hiring decision. Be ready for a fit interview.
Good luck!
Alberto

CONGRATS! You are very close now. Prepare a 1min pitch about yourself, get ready for a short fit interview and possibly some brainstorming questions. Warm regards, Frederic

First of all, congratulations on the progress in the application process with Deloitte thus far!
I would be happy to share my thoughts on your situation:
The conversation typically implies that you are being seriously considered for the position. It’s often a chance for the partners to assess your fit within the company culture and your enthusiasm for the role, or simply discuss the terms of the offer.
If you would like a more detailed discussion on your specific situation, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.
Best,
