I have 8+ years of consulting experience (4 years at BCG + 4 years at Charles River Associates, a leading economic consulting firm). I joined BCG's Boston office as an experienced hire (Senior Associate) from a non-target school (Lehigh University) after completing a Master's degree in energy systems engineering while working part-time at CRA.
