How would you answer this question in your Personal Fit interview?

How do you manage relationships with difficult clients?

I would try to stay calm and really listen to the client to understand what the issue is. Often, it’s just a misunderstanding that can be cleared up with honest, open communication.

In my experience there are three key principles to focus on when working difficult clients: active listening, setting clear expectations, and staying solutions-oriented.
First I understand their concerns to build trust, then ensure transparency around deliverables and timelines. If tensions arise, I rely on data-driven insights to guide discussions and offer alternatives.
For example, in an M&A deal, I reassured a client on valuation concerns by walking them through our assumptions and running sensitivity analyses.
Clear communication and problem-solving always help turn challenges into productive outcomes.
