I have worked with McKinsey for 5 years (2017-2021) in the Expert Consulting path of McKinsey Analytics, now QuantumBlack in Germany.
In 2021, I was promoted to Engagement Manager, the McKinsey term for Project Leader.
Since 2018, I've interviewed for McKinsey to hire into the Expert consulting track for Analytics. If this is the path you are going for, I am the only person on PrepLounge who has experience with this interview process, which differs from the one for Generalist Consultants.
It's little known that this path is better paid than the Generalist Consultant path and has some unique perks that Generalist Consultants don't enjoy, for example a $5,000 dollar yearly conference budget and additional trainings.
If you are looking to join QuantumBlack / McKinsey Analytics, I am your guy. Please do consider all of the other Coaches as well, but I challenge you to challenge them on their knowledge of how the interview process for Expert Consulting differs from the one for Generalists.
