Availability email from GS

Hello,

I hope you’re doing well. I received an email today from Goldman Sachs with a one-day deadline to confirm my graduation date and availability for the Off-Cycle Internship. I completed the HackerRank assessment 10 days ago, and I scored 90% on programming, and probably a little bit less in math section, which is not ideal. Does this email indicate any positive progression in my application, or is it simply a standard part of the process?

Thank you,

Best,

Hello there,

Even though the confirmation deadline has already passed, we still want to answer your question as our Finance community is still building up and not as active yet.

Generally speaking: YES, receiving this email from Goldman Sachs is a positive sign in your application process, so congratulations so far! While it doesn’t guarantee an offer, it suggests that your application is still under consideration. Banks don’t usually ask for additional details unless they’re moving candidates forward or conducting further screening.

Besides, your HackerRank score is strong, and while the math section may not have been perfect, banks typically assess applications holistically—considering your overall performance, resume, and fit.

We hope, we could help and let us know once you get the offer or if you need any further support. Good luck! 🚀
