Hello there,
I’m applying for a business analyst internship at McKinsey. I have been recently invited to a workshop.
Do you think that’s a good sign, are they interested in me?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, it differs per office, but typically these workshops help you prepare for the interviews (explaining what is expected from you). They would only invite people to the workshop who will also be invited to the interviews
Hi there,
Q: I’m applying for a business analyst internship at McKinsey. I have been recently invited to a workshop. Do you think that’s a good sign, are they interested in me?
If it is a workshop that is not open to everyone, then yes, it is a good sign – it means they considered your CV positively. A workshop doesn’t guarantee an invitation for an interview, but it could be a great opportunity to network and land a referral, which will increase your chances of being selected.
Good luck!

Yes - an invitation to a workshop means that you are the type of candidate they would typically hire. It does not guarantee an interview or an internship but is a great way to meet other like minded people, learn about McKinsey and get a leg up on the hiring process.
Hi there,
Yes, in fact, workshops often have more limited spaces than interviews so fewer people are invited to these.
Enjoy it, network, make a good impression!
Cheers,
Florian
