When was the last time you found an unusual/unconventional solution to a problem?
That’s the question to test your creativity and ability to innovate – a some version of that question can be a part of McKinsey Entrepreneurial Drive Dimension.
It’s good to give a work example here and highlight the following:
- Before you came things were always done in this old conventional way – then you saw it and you came up with a better idea how to do it
- You then executed on it even though nobody asked you to (it was your own initiative)
- People recognised the value of your solution and found it helpful
Best,
Daniel

I was confused by how the media presents gen z as a sustainable consumer yet I observed my friends love for fast fashion. This contradiction inspired me to do my own survey. I surveyed 100 students in my college about their consumption habits, purchase drivers and sentiment towards different sustainable retail strategies.
The last time I found an unusual solution to a problem was during a business trip to Lubiana, Slovenia. We could not fly directly so we flew to Triste Italy and there we were supposed to have a booked transfer to Lubiana, but due to strikes, it was cancelled. So to avoid missing the meeting I contacted an old friend of mine whose family is from Trieste and I asked If they had a car to be borrowed. And it worked!
I would see if I can spontenously find someone to join me on the movie and still see the movie
I got into the consulting club at a top MBA program without being an MBA student. I asked an MBA student friend to register for me.
