What time zone are the meeting scheduled in?

Hi, I am confused about the time zone is used to schedule the meetings. I was supposed to have a meeting today at 12pm. The time zone wasn't specified anywhere and since I put my location in Italy i assumed they showed me the meeting time according to my local time. However, apparently my meeting took place at 11am, so I assume UK time. This is very confusing, is there a way to either have a clearly specified time zone or adjust the scheduling to be according to my time zone?

Thank you

Hi there,

when you schedule a meeting on here, you would select the time based on your own timezone. The recipient of the invite would see the meeting time converted to their own time zone that they specified on their profile.

That's at least how it worked in my own experience. I haven't had any issues with it thus far. You also typically receive an e-mail reminder 2 hours before a scheduled meeting.

So I don't know what happened in your situation unfortunately.

Thank you for the reply! Yes, I did indeed get 2 reminders, both reminding me I have a meeting at 12pm GMT+2 (my time zone), and then around 11:30 they congratulated me on my first meeting and told me the meeting was over before it even started. Really weird, I'm wondering if I can somehow flag this to the admin of this website?

Hi there,

Q: Is there a way to either have a clearly specified time zone or adjust the scheduling to be according to my time zone?

The time zone and the current location are not necessarily synced. In your case, you probably had the time zone set to UK time even if you were in Italy.

You can adjust your time zone within your profile. If you click on your settings, you should be able to modify it.

Hope this helps,

Francesco

Hi there,

Depends on what timezone you have selected in your profile! :-)

You probably have your time zone wrong… the scheduling tool is showing the times on the time zone you chose.
