Visa Sponsorship: Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY?

I am currently an international student (undergraduate) in the US. I heard that Deloitte and EY both sponsor H1B visas – however, the Deloitte Summer Strategy Scholar application for 2024 states  that they do not accept applicants who are looking for sponsorship in the future. Does anyone know if that was a recent change in Deloitte's policy, and if EY or any of the other big 4 have similar/other changes to their sponsorship policies? Would appreciate any advice for internationals. Thank you!

Hello,

You should definitely reach out to HR to ask them this question, though I would assume that if the application states they don't do visa sponsorships, then that's your answer right there. But HR is the one who will be able to confirm this for sure.

Sponsorship policies change regularly at firms and it's driven by many factors. The best way to find out for sure is to ask HR if you would still be eligible to apply for a full time role as an international student.

Hi Cindy,

It's best to reach out directly to HR and ask about this.

Regardless of the answers that you might get on this page, only HR will be able to tell you for certain.

I suggest scheduling a 10-15 minute call with them and understanding the eligibility criteria so you know what to expect.

If Visa sponsorship is an issue, I'd also recommend that you apply broadly to diversify your risk.

Here is a guide to help you build this strategy:

What you need to clarify with those firms is whether that restriction applies only to the summer internship or if it applies as well for full time recruiting once you finish your degree.

Hi Cindy,

Agree with the other coaches here - best way is to check with HR of respective firms directly, as visa sponsorship policies are subject to frequent change.

Hi Cindy,

I second the rest. You will really only figure this out by speaking to HR and/or networking with people at the firm.

At the very least, it sounds like that you would not be eligible for that summer scholar program (but there may be other avenues you can pursue)
