Hi there,

You can always ask but usually office transfers - while possible - are not so easy early in your tenure.

However, no risk in asking!

If they deny the request, you should start building ties to your target office immediately (e.g., by helping people out for research work, client proposals, trying to get staffed with some of their leadership, etc.)
