Hi all,
I have quick Q. The solution (see below) suggests that 1% increase in the adoption rate would lead to a 5% increase in hours per week/year (period does not matter).
I have a hard time following the implicit math:
1% increase in adoption = 750 m people * 22 hours/week per person = + 16.5 bn hours per week additional hours
16.5 bn hours of 33 bn hours (previous value) is a 50% increase, which is self-evident given that 750 m people = 50% of 1.5 bn people.
Can someone help me spot my mistake? Your help is much appreicated!
Proposed solution
- The analysis is most sensitive to the % adoption of people on the platform; a 1 percent point increase would skew the analysis by ±5%.
