Hey there,

I've helped many candidates craft stories for their PEI. Often they can't find best stories, and I probe and ask targeted questions that help them introspect and find stories that match the dimensions that each of the McKinsey PEI stories are looking for.

Feedback my candidates always get from interviews is that they had a spike (i.e. were exceptional) in their PEI stories

Feel free to reach out. Also please read my response to a previous PEI related question. I offer some ideas about what McKinsey is looking for in each of their prompts - Personal Impact, Inclusive Leadership, Courageous Change and Entrepreneurial Drive.

PEI is the low hanging fruit. With some time and effort you can easily become distinctive on this dimension. It is half of your overall score at McKinsey. So grab it by the b***s and squeeze it hard.
