Online interview - ask to take screen shots?

Interviews are conducted online in my region. When receiving graphs, which option is the best practice:

1) Write down the key information on paper

2) Ask whether I could take a screenshot

3) In later stages, ask to go back to a previous chart if key info is needed

In some cases, there are multiple charts with information interlinked. Thus I would prefer option 2. However, I wonder whether this is practical as interviewer might ask me not to do so due to confidentiality reason. Thanks for the advice!

Hi there,

For Zoom interviews, interviewers will share the screen and you can direct them to show a certain page and move between pages (if you are to analyze more than one chart).

Screenshots are usually not allowed as the cases should remain confidential between you and your interviewer.

You can always ask to go back or show a chart again, yes!

Cheers,

Florian

The interviewer should provide you with a way to keep track of the information. But if that's not the situation, feel free to ask if you can use any of those options.

If a chart is important for a question, the interviewer typically keeps sharing it on the zoom call.
