Oliver Wyman (Australia)

Hi all,

Just wanted to learn a bit more about the industries which Oliver Wyman works in within Australia.

I understand that the firm is known for its work in FS, however is this the same within Australia where some of the biggest industries are mining and energy etc?

Thanks :)

Actually, the region tends to be the main determinant in terms of which industries are the biggest.

So in Australia, mining and energy are some of the biggest clients regardless of firm.

If you're interested in OW in particular, I'd recommend you reach out for a chat to existing consultants. This is a great experience for you to learn more about the firm and you could even get a referral in the process.

Here's how to do it:

Hi there,

While I can't speak to OW's exact projects in the moment, in general, in Australia consulting you are going to have:

  1. Mining
  2. Energy
  3. Government / Infrastructure
  4. Healthcare
  5. Financial Services
  6. Telecomms
  7. CPG

I suggest you look at Linkedin for OW consultants working in Australia and see which sectors do they mention. That should give you a fair idea.
