McKinsey Solve Game Tech issue

Hi all!

I received an email to do McKinsey Solve. The email details that I will be able to complete Solve beginning Saturday, June 1, 2024, through Thursday, June 6, 2024.
(Worded exactly as in the email)

As given in the instructions, I selected 06.30 pm on June 6, 2024, on the calendar (the green-coloured square).

As indicated below in the calendar picture attached

However, the selected time slot appears as 06.30 pm on June 7, 2024, under the calendar.

As indicated in the picture attached (check at the bottom of the picture)

I have reached out to the recruiter about it immediately. Pls let me know what it means and if I should change my time slot?
There is an inconsistency in it… I cannot do Solve on the 7th June since that is beyond the date mentioned in the email. I dont want to pick June 5th since I have some other meets to attend to that day.

Also checked the timezone it is correct. I received the solve link yesterday at 10.30pm IST. Now it is 3pm IST on 1st June.

Thank you!

Hi, I also had a technical problem with Solve. It didn't transfer my data at the end of the game, so my results never arrived at McKinsey. Have faith in the recruiter, they will help you. I would definitely wait for an answer first and I can tell you from experience that they are very helpful and solution-oriented. They will certainly find a solution so that you can do the game after your important appointments. I can understand if you're a bit nervous about it, but everything will be fine! Good luck!

Yes for all technical issues like this you should reach out to the recruiter for help and they will guide you.

Hi there,

Q: Pls let me know what it means and if I should change my time slot?

This seems to be a bug in the system. The best thing would be to call HR and clarify with them over the phone for a quick reply.

Good luck!

Francesco

Hi there,

Yes, of course, you need to reach out to the recruiter. That is what they are here for. Don't worry!

All the best,

Florian
