Mckinsey Solve

I have an upcoming Solve game and I was wondering if it would be appropriate to request an extra time accommodation. I receive these at my university as I have diagnosed ADHD.

Is this an appropriate ask for consulting recruiting or should I just do it within the regular time and not ask? Just wondering if there's any insight or precedent on this issue. Thanks!

Hi there,

You should definitely tell the recruiters as I believe they can accommodate this!

All the best,

Hi there,

First of all, congratulations on the invitation from McKinsey!

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:

  • First of all, requesting accommodations for a diagnosed condition like ADHD is reasonable and aligned with many consulting firms' diversity and inclusion policies, so I do not see any issue with asking.
  • Moreover, therefore, I would highly advise you to formally ask for this accommodation from the recruiter as soon as possible. It’s important to do this well ahead to ensure all arrangements can be made in time.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming McKinsey interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen
