Hi,
Does the EDAD program guaranteed you an interview at your office of choice in the Middle East?
Also, is it only CV-based? And if so, what GPA is safe or needed for this program, assuming I have a well-rounded profile overall?

Hi,
The edad program does not 100% guarantee an interview, but is a strong element they consider to offer you an interview. Like you indicated yourself, they consider your entire profile and cover letter. They are generally looking for candidates with a gpa of minimum 3.5.
Let me know if you have other questions.

Hey there,ย
Short answer is no, it doesn't guarantee an interview.ย
To get to interview, you'd need to pass screening and then pass the Solve assessment. As you noted, a strong CV and profile gets you through the screening stage. And really, there's no single "safe" GPA. I've seen candidates with GPAs as low as 2.8 get invited to interview at McKinsey BUT they had other very strong elements in their CV's that compensated for the lower GPA.
I'd recommend targeting 3.5/3.6 BUT also enhancing the strengt of your CV in all other areas
Feel free to contact me if you'd like to discuss more about how you can do this
All the best!ย
Hi there,
Unfortunately, it's not a guarantee but the connections you make (referrals!) + the fact that you are part of the program can significantly impact the outcome of the screening decision.
All the best,
Florian
Hi there,
I would be happy to share my thoughts on your questions:
If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming McKinsey application and/or pre-interview assessment, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Hi, while the EDAD program certainly boosts your profile, it doesnโt guarantee an interview at your preferred Middle East office; itโs mainly CV-based, so a strong academic recordโtypically around a 3.5 on a 4.0 scaleโis seen as competitive, although a well-rounded profile can always help. I've been a Full Time Consultant at McKinsey & Company and have interned at top firms, so feel free to reach out if you have more questions.
