MCK Middle East Final Round Process

Hi All,

So I have been interviewing for McKinsey for the past couple of months for a knowledge analyst position and got to the final round. I was informed that the final round consists of 2 interviews (with days apart), and have been invited to the first interview of them. I have just finalised my first interview in the final round and waiting for the feedback. In the meantime, I was wondering if anyone knows if the process of the final round was a cumulative one or a pass/fail for each round. Shall I continue preparing for the next (final) interview or wait until I receive feedback of passing the first one? And does anyone has this specific information for middle east offices? Thanks in advance

Hi there,

First of all, congratulations on the progress in the application process with McKinsey thus far!

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your situation:

  • First of all, typically, both final-round interviews are assessed jointly.
  • Moreover, if you want to know for certain, I would highly advise you to reach out to the recruiter and inquire about this aspect.

You can find more on this topic here: How to succeed in the final interview round.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming McKinsey final-round interview, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Many thanks for your response! Is me not receiving any feedback or whether I'm going for another interview or not, for 1.5 weeks an indication of anything? I have reached out to the HR but no response

Please do not read anything into this. However, if you haven't heard back after two full weeks, you may consider calling the recruiter directly and inquiring about the status of your application.

Hi there,

You would usually go through a full interview round before a decision is made. Hence, it would be best if you continued to prep for the second interview of this round.

All the best,

Florian
