London - experienced hire to MBB: PSTs

Hi All,

Am an experienced hire (2 years investment banking) looking to make a move to MBB London office.

For anyone who has gone through the process in a similar situation to mine, did you have to take PST for McKinsey or any other tests for Bain or BCG? I thought these were only for people being recruited from universities but am uncertain after having a chat with a headhunter.

If these tests are the norm, could you please recommend resources to prepare in a brief period of time (especially for Bain and BCG)?

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

It varies case by case and is based on your years of experience. So you should check with HR whether you have to write them or not.

More about BCG test here: https://www.preplounge.com/en/consulting-forum/bcg-online-test-936

Best!

Thank you Vlad - that is helpful. In case one has to take the test, do you know for certain that they are both online? Or is there a possibility of having them written during the assessment?

Dear A,

There is no single answer, because it may vary according to the region and to your experience. So I would recommend you to cintact HR directly.

Best,
André
