Dear all,
I am an incoming MBA student at a T10 US school. There is an opportunity to participate in pre-MBA summer programs (BCG Unlock, Experience Baon, and Diversity Connect at McK). Participation cannot win me an invitation to a summer internship. I have other plans for the summer (unfortunately) and I'm afraid that I won't be able to combine both.
Could you please confirm/correct the information below?
1) Many say that these programs are just informative sessions with no direct influence on summer internship placement. Instead, it is important to focus on networking/recruiting events in the first year of your MBA. Real recruiting doesn't begin until October.
2) Would skipping these programs put me at a disadvantage to those who participated in them?
Many thanks in advance!
