I wanted to ask, if I pass the Mckinsey PSG what are the odds I get the interview afterwards. If you had to quantify it?
If I pass the McKinsey PSG, what are the odds I get an interview after.

Hi,
This isn't really the right way to approach this.
After you take the PSG, your score will be evaluated together with your application, CV, cover letter, and referral status (if applicable). Based on that, plus a subjective comparison with other candidates at the same interview stage, you will be invited to interview or not.
So you could score very high on the PSG but not get invited to interview if your CV isn't quite so strong, or score a bit lower but get an interview based on other reasons. It will also depend on the needs and requirements of the office/role that's hiring you, and their candidate pool.
I know this isn't the answer you were looking for, but unfortunately it's not quite as simple as “pass PSG → X% likelihood of getting an interview” in practice

PSG is one part of the application process. Your application is viewed holistically and the decision to interview is based on multiple factors, primarily driven by your school (target or not), performance at school, extra curricular activities, previous job experience and very importantly referrals especially from partners.
You do have to perform well in the PSG of course but it's not the main factor.
All the best,
Udayah

Hi there!
The way it works for most offices is that they judge your results from the test together with your application package (CV, Cover Letter, referral).
So the contribution of the test on its own is difficult to separate.
High-level, what you can expect though, is that there is a 10-20% conversion to first round interviews. Meaning, out of 100 applicants, 10-20 actually get to the first interview. Needless to say, the number vary wildly between offices and firms.
If you're applying soon, I'd recommend you also visit the following guide which breaks down how to create an application strategy:

Hi there,
hard to quantify, since, as other coaches also mentioned, the firm will look at your application holistically. That said, it's not really in your control, so would not spend too much time speculating on this but rather put the energy into preparation.
Feel free to share your CV via DM - happy to take a glance and gauge, whether the profile meets McK standard.
Regards, Andi

Hi there,
Q: I wanted to ask, if I pass the Mckinsey PSG what are the odds I get the interview afterward. If you had to quantify it?
To move to the interview you need to pass both the PSG and the CV/application material screening. So it is hard to comment without more information on your profile.
If you want to prepare for the game, you can find the course I created for it below:
