Hey there,

It really depends on so many factors - firm, location, position, etc...

In my experience, ~25% pass first round, and ~33% pass final round - so overall about 8% of candidates pass the interviews after passing the CV screen.

I wouldn't dwell on this, though - whether the percentage is 1% or 50%, ย MBB offices all have very high standards for applicants. It all comes down to your prep and your previous experiences.

Good luck!

Hi,

It depends on the company, office, role, economy and many other factors. I would roughlyย assume that the maximum 15-20% of the candidates get the offers after the CV stage

3rd data point for you... at BCG Dallas a few years ago, there wereย roughly 60 applicants for 1 position - and I have no reason to believe it changed much since then. Even upon being brought back to a 2nd round, your odds were still around 20% at best.

One caveat before you lose hope though: consultancies have been doing so well lately, the limiting factor is now sometimes the number of qualified applicantsย -> versus leaner times, your odds are probably as good as they've been in a while

Hi A,

It really depends on many factors, as already mentioned.

The key factor will be your preparation, background, and what makes you the one they would like to see in their team.
