Hi there!

First of all, you could ask them to clarify what kind of questions will be included in the test, in order to plan your preparation. This may change according to different variables, so it is better to ask directly to them.

In case you are not going to be able to get this information, know that normally all tests are similare and have a mix of different questions, which may include:

  • Situational Judgement Test
  • Numerical Reasoning
  • Verbal Reasoning
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Personality Questionnaire

The objective is to evaluate your skills while putting you under pressure with time management. Hence, you should not underestimate it. You can find abundant material online that you can use to practice and become more comfortable with the type of questions. Here's some useful links with free tests:

Hope this helps,
Best of luck with your preparation,
Francesca

#1 rated McKinsey Coach

Hi!

Congrats on the interview opportunity.

You can expect a GMAT type test with questions disguised as business situations. This is the format that most consulting firms use.

If you want to practice, former McKinsey-style PST tests are a great example. Happy to share a couple of examples.

Aside from this, do reach out to the recruiter and try to get more info on the format of the test straight from the source. You could even ask them if they have any examples of the test or any suggestions of where you could practice for it. You'd be surprised how helpful some of them can be.

Good luck!
Cristian

Hi there,

If you can double-check with them on what to expect, that would be ideal!

Short of that, there's really 2 things it could be:

  1. “General” skills/IQ assessment (not business based, but more logical/math based)
  2. “Case” based assessment (like the Bain SOVA or BCG Chatbot)

Basically, depending on which of the above it is, you want to find similar tests and practice those accordingly.

I have a ton of practice tests for both of these scenarios - I also love MConsultingPrep's simulations.

Hi there, it is very similar to the workable tests. They have some trial tests, go with these! Warm regards, Frederic
