Experience Tony Blair Institute (UAE)

Hi everybody,

I am currently preparing for an upcoming case-interviews with the Tony Blair Institute (TBI) in the UAE. Has anyone experience or has already gone through their interview-process? It's just public sector consulting, so I'd be super curious if there is anyone out there with experience/knowledge of the TBI?

Thank you guys,

Michael

Hi Michael,

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:

  • I would highly advise you to approach your potential future colleagues and the recruiter and inquire about exactly that, as only they will know for certain.
  • However, I am sure that you will be informed in detail about the application process as soon as you are invited by the recruiter.

You can find more on this topic here: How to succeed in the final interview round.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Hi there,

I have no direct experience with them but here's what I would do:

  • Check LinkedIn to see who works there and who their previous employer was
  • This can tell you what kind of cases you can expect (e.g., if they have a ton of McK alumni, it might be that they are running more of an interviewer-led format)

Other than that, it makes no difference who you are interviewing for. The same skills are assessed in every case regardless of firm or context.

Don't focus on specific case types but habits and skill building:

  • Framework generation
  • Brainstorming
  • Quant analysis
  • Exhibit Interpretation
  • Communication

Cheers, and all the best,

Florian
