Question about

Exhibit 2 under Part 4

Hi everyone,

For Exhibit 2 under Part 4 - Pricing, should we be referring to the number of UNIQUE households? If we have 400M revenue from Hazella and 5 euro each, we have 80M bottles sold. However, the entire pie chart in exhibit 2 should not be 80M? Please let me know if I am making sense.

Hi there,

Thanks for solving my case! Regarding your question:

1) Should we be referring to the number of UNIQUE households?

There is no need to calculate the number of households, you can consider the number of jars, as indicated in the solution.

2) However, the entire pie chart in exhibit 2 should not be 80M?

Most likely, no. Surveys are not conducted on every single customer, but on a subset of them.

For other questions please feel free to PM me, happy to help.

Best,

Francesco

Hey there,

Remember this product is physically bought by Consumers. So this survey is capturing the interests and feedback of a subset of total market, and this used to be indicative of total market. It won't be feasible to survey every single customer or household

The validity and strength of the survery will of course be affected by the sample size, but it's not required to capture every single customer (or household)
