Engineer CV Review

Hi everyone,

I am pursuing a transition from nearly six years in the energy industry, where I have held various project engineering & digital transformation roles with a lot of international exposure, to a career in management consulting. I want to ensure that my CV effectively highlights my relevant skills and experiences.

Would it be possible for someone to review my resume? Would appreciate any help on how to tailor my CV to align with the expectations of a management consulting role.

Thanks.

Hi there,

Q: Would it be possible for someone to review my resume?

Many coaches offer a CV review as part of their coaching. You can check if there is an option for that on their profiles here

Alternatively, you can post an anonymized version in the Q&A for feedback.

For general suggestions, you can check the following:

The process I personally recommend during sessions is the following:

  1. You send your CV before the class
  2. We review it together during the class. I recommend the changes to do step by step
  3. You work on the recommended improvements after the class and adapt the document accordingly
  4. You send back the CV. I review it and provide suggestions on anything that needs improvements (no additional bookings needed)
  5. You review and make changes accordingly
  6. If needed, you can send it back as many times as needed (no follow-up limits)

All the steps are included in the initial booking, including the unlimited follow-ups.

Hi Anderson, I private messaged you but apparently I been flagged :( I'll respond here just so you know I appreciate your answer!! Yes I'm eager about higher education and I am between a MiF or MBA. I have over 3.5 years of work experience and 2.5 in consultancy but it looks like MiFs are pre-experience programs (for professional with 0-3 years of experience), so I was also aiming for something higher and I thought about pursuing a MBA; however its class profile it's about 5.5 years of experience and they are 28-30 years old, and I'm not. I'm hesitant about waiting 2 or 3 years more to get an MBA or just get next year a MiF. Any comment you have on this is very helpful!!!! I mentioned McKinsey because it seems like one of the requirement for a Associate role (in any job posting on their site), specifically asks for an MBA, that's why I was wonder if a MiF was also accepted, this is related to the fact that apparently if you are in a Business Analyst role after 2 or 3 years they will sponsor your MBA, or I could join the firm as a Junior Associate now and for example get a MiF on my own, would it lead me to a Associate position?. Again your opinion would be so appreciated, thank you!
