If i interviewed for my first choice office and was not selected but after the first round with the local office said they wish I was applying for their office. Is it common to re-interview for that office or would it be possible if i reached out to them? i have no other consulting interviews at this point and really wanted to end up in this industry and company

It happens sometimes and with some local offices at McKinsey so you can check. But in most of the cases you are not allowed
