CV Review Coach

I am looking for a coach who can help me with CV review. I had a session with a coach sometimes back and he just directed me to do this and that edit. I am now looking for a coach who will do the heavy lifting. I provide with you my previous CV tell you what I accomplished. Then as a coach you decide and get involved in all the aspects of the CV( writing, editing etc) . The reason it is important for me is I just want to maximize my chance of getting an interview with MBB and leave nothing at the table. Also kindly explain the procedures you use for CV writing and editing? Thanks.

While I understand your concern, I have to give you a heads up on your request.

No coach will do the "heavy lifting" (unless you really want to pay for the multiple hours that it takes to write a crisp CV, particularly without knowing you)...

And no good coach will think that is a good idea (no matter how many hours you are willing to pay).

This is very simple. A good CV requires a lot of investment and self-reflection on your part. You have to consider multiple ways of stating each experience you had.

Usually I will start from "macro" topics (making sure that the "story" coming from the CV is the right own), then the "micro" (making sure each bullet point supports that story", and then finally the fine tuning (i.e., editing bullet by bullet point to make sure it is crisp).

I will usually review the CV in advance and then take the coaching session to discuss the multiple points and you review based on our discussion.

Then of course, I don't oppose doing the final editing myself, i.e., once we have a very good draft, improving how each bullet point is written, if necessary.

This method will produce optimal results - a process were the coach does the writing from the beginning is unlikely to identify your best experiences and "story" to showcase in your CV.

Hey!

Absolutely, I’d be glad to help! I’ve gone through the 3 MBB processes myself—received offers from all three and accepted roles at both internship and full-time levels—so I completely understand how critical a well-crafted CV is to stand out. I don’t just give surface-level suggestions; I’ll work with you hands-on to rewrite, refine, and structure your CV from top to bottom, based on what you’ve actually accomplished. You tell me the substance—I’ll shape the story.

My process starts with a review of your current CV and a short conversation (or document exchange) where you share your key achievements, context, and goals. From there, I’ll take the lead on drafting a sharp, impact-driven version that’s fully tailored for MBB, with focus on clarity, quantifiable outcomes, and strategic positioning. Once we have a solid draft, we’ll refine it together if needed. Looking forward to supporting you—let’s make sure you leave nothing on the table.

BCG Principal, 150+ BCG interviews (incl. final rounds), Post-MBA offers from All Big 3, will provide written feedback

Hi there. Happy to help.

Your CV will be your most important tool to secure an interview at MBB (or any other target firm).

I was a member of the recruiting team at BCG and made decisions who to interview based on their applications / CVs.  In my own recruiting I secured offers from all three of MBB. During business school I was a career counselor and helped peers (and more junior students) prepare their CV.

My process:

1. I review your existing resume

2. 1 hour meeting re: download / discussion of your experience / accomplishments

3. I re-draft your resume and share it back for your review

4. 1 hour discussion of re-drafted CV

5. I make any final / additional edits based on our discussion

Please reach out, if you'd like to discuss.

Thanks,

Andreas
