It's wonderful that you go to a target school - you can truly make the most of this opportunity from a recruitment perspective! Go for all the campus recruiting events, talk to and engage with all of the people there. Tell them how interested you are in applying and why and then ask them the best way to apply for you. Do not just apply randomly online as you will lose all these advantages you have going for you.
Definitely through the campus recruiting!
Having been both on the side of BCG recruiting in campuses as well as an MBA student at London Business School, I can vouch for the effort that consultancies put into campus recruiting. So they are motivated to get their effort rewarded by good candidates they can move into interview phase.
Of course, all other advice applies: mindful networking (and you have a truly wonderful opportunity there), very strong application, top interview prep.
Good luck!

Hi there,

I would recommend applying via campus recruiting and if possible with a referral.

Campus might be better if you're in a target school.
The advantage is that these applications are now treated together as a batch and go through a separate process from regular recruiting.
The advantage is that you will be pitted against your colleagues.

You should apply through campus, as they may want to “process” you as a batch, with specific timelines, etc. They may also have a target number of offers and it's better to be under the campus recruiting for that reason.
Hi there,
online application is the most generic and anonymous route you can take. You do that if you have no alternatives basically.
So if you go to a target school, then you should take advantage of the campus recruiting pathway - keep in mind that there are usually specific dates and deadlines for it though.
Best of luck
Hi there,
Go through campus recruiting!
