BCG - Not invited to event

I applied to an event at BCG for women and wasn’t invited. I was neither invited to apply. I have a quite unique and interesting CV.

Does it now make sense to apply to other BCG events? Does it make sense to apply directly for the consultant track? Or do I need to wait and let time pass?

Hi there,

Sorry to hear!

Two thoughts:

  1. Recruiting events are often more exclusive and competitive than actual interview invitations as there are fewer spots
  2. Unique and interesting CV -> feel free to share it to get a more tailored insight into your general chances to move past the screening stage

Cheers,

Florian

Hey!

From my point of view that doesn’t necessarily impact your chances for other opportunities. It’s still worth applying to other events, as selection can vary depending on specific criteria and applicant pools for each. Applying directly for the consultant track is also a good idea—BCG values unique backgrounds, and applying formally gives you a chance to showcase your full qualifications. There’s no need to wait; moving forward with other applications can demonstrate your interest and commitment to BCG.

Good luck! Alessa :)

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about the event rejection. In terms of your question:

Q: Does it now make sense to apply to other BCG events? Does it make sense to apply directly for the consultant track? Or do I need to wait and let time pass?

It is fine to apply to other events and the consultant role, it could simply be that there were very few slots for the event you applied to. On the other hand, I would recommend having your CV reviewed to ensure everything is fine there.

Good luck!

Francesco

Currently applying for jobs as business development manager/sales manager/director, Key-account manager (Industry), does anybody here have access or references to some cases examples? I would appreciate that.
