Applications for Consulting Events

I'm guessing this info might apply worldwide--I've started applying to consulting events held by different firms and I'm wondering how long it usually takes to get a response? One of the event applications was due 12 days ago and will be held in a few weeks.

These include open office days, events for recent graduates, future graduates, enginneers, usw. as well as the events that are 2-3 days long or specialized for certain university degrees. I'm from Germany and applying through the German websites of the firms.
Also, if anyone knows of good websites to find consulting events please share!

Collected McKinsey & BCG offers/ Ex-McKinsey consultant/Harvard/WBS/MSU

Hi A,

Normally it takes up to 2 weeks after a due date to consolidate all people and then select the candidates you like to set up a call. However some companies process applications on first come-first served basis, thus you may get a response in 3 weeks max since you applied.

Best course of action for you, if you are interested in a particular event is to call recruiters of that company and tell them that you are interested.

Career web-sites of top European universities and MBBs are a top-source for search of such events.

Hope, that was helpful.

Best,
Egor

Thanks for your reply! The response came this morning and I did not get accepted. I know even the events are very competitive. I didn't even think about calling the recruiters, but since all of the information is laid out perfectly online I wouldn't know what to even say as I wouldn't have any questions I can think of...do you have any suggestions? Thanks again!
