A&M PEPI Associate - Case Study & Excel Exercise

Anyone done the 2 hour case study & excel exercise for Alvarez & Marsal PEPI CDD recently and know what to expect/ prepare for?

My interview is approaching (Round 3) and would like to understand what to prepare for along with the questions below:

1. What type of case is given?  Should I keep preparing for the “standard” 30/40 Min candidate/interviewer led case studies or switch focus to presentation cases?

2. What type of excel exercise is given and is it linked to the case? Already passed an excel test with A&M so how might this differ?

3. Can I expect technical questions related to accounting/PE/valuation?

Hi there,

First of all, congratulations on the progress in the application process with Alvarez & Marsal thus far!

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:

  • I would highly advise you to approach your potential future colleagues and the recruiter and inquire about exactly that, as only they will know for certain.

You can find more on this topic here: How to succeed in the final interview round.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on your specific situation, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen
