Hi there,

It's always good to just ask them :) This gives you a better view also into the practices of that particular office / firm.

I would suggest that you practice the typical personal fit questions to begin with:

  • Tell me about yourself (introducing yourself)
  • Why consulting
  • Why OW
  • Why moving from current employer / stage in life
  • What are your strengths?
  • What are your weaknesses? / Why shouldn't we hire you?

Depending on the length of the interview in that particular office, they might start asking more specific, skill-based questions such as:

  • Can you provide an example of when you failed?
  • Can you tell me about a time you dealt with a conflict?
  • Can you share an experience of leading others through a difficult moment?

Then also practice situational questions.

Best,

Cristian

Hi there,

I think this is an interesting question that may be relevant for many people. I would be happy to share my thoughts on it:

  • The psychological behavior interview round at AlixPartners typically includes questions that aim to assess the candidate's problem-solving abilities, teamwork, leadership, communication and adaptability skills, among others. The interviewer may ask about specific challenges you've faced in your past work experience and how you handled them, as well as how you work in a team, manage conflicts and handle stress.
  • The interviewer may also ask hypothetical questions to assess how you would handle a situation that you haven't encountered before. The interviewer may also use situational judgment test to evaluate your ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • It's important to be prepared to give specific examples and to be able to clearly articulate how you handle different situations and how you think, learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • It's best to prepare by reviewing your past experiences, thinking about the skills and behaviors that the interviewer is likely to be looking for and practicing answering common behavioral interview questions. It's also a good idea to review the company's values and culture and think about how your experiences align with them.
  • It's also worth noting that the best way to know more about the psychological behavior interview round at AlixPartners is by directly contacting the recruiter of AlixPartners and ask about it. They will be able to provide you with more information about the process and what to expect during the interview.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to address your specific situation, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen
