A few years ago, during the later stages of my university journey, I discovered the world of consulting.
Unlike students from target schools, I attended a university that was largely overlooked by consulting firms. As a result, there was no established pathway or support system for entering the industry.
This meant I had to carve out my own path — conducting my own research, building my own network, and navigating the process independently. And to be honest, I was far from the ideal candidate. I wasn’t a below-average student, but I was certainly far from the academic profile typically sought after by top consulting firms
